Science Communication Event

July 25, 2016

iMETland coordinator, IMDEA Water, attended on July 24th 2016 Sunday the Science Communication Event organised by the European Commission prior to the official opening of the Euro-Science Open Forum, ESOF, in Manchester.

Under Horizon 2020, researchers are asked to engage in communicating science to audiences beyond their peers, and sometimes, communicating innovation beyond peer-to-peer communities is not necessarily the primary concern of scientists.

Among the main conclusions, experts pointed out the need to plan strategies from day one and make “VIP” the message: Virtual, Interactive and Personal. In line with this conclusion, iMETland has set its tone of voice since its starting point and constantly casts its emotional communication tagline, highlighting its main objective: Simply giving water a second life.
